A client had this antique rocker which he wanted restored. I enjoy saving family heirlooms so decided to help him with this project.
When I removed the old fabric I replaced the old horsehair padding and also padded the back for more comfort. To hold the fabric in place decorative upholstery tacks were used on the edges. The rocker has exposed arms, legs and rockers which also needed some tender care to bring out the beautiful old wood patina. Now he can rock his grandchildren to sleep like his grandmother rocked him.
